We will be choosing 2008 Award winners for the following awards:

Shooting Star Award Winner

2008 Winner- Express Convenience Center/Schmidt Family Foundation

This award is given by the CBT Board of Directors to the Benefit Partner that has continually surpassed expectations. Benefit Partners offer services or use of facilities at no cost or at a discounted rate or donate items for use by the CBT. Schmidt Family oundation has proveided the Community Benefit tree with the commitment in helping not only our benefits, but our organization as a whole. they have helped our benefits by donating gas cards to our recipients and their families which help them cut the costs of getting back and forth to doctor and hospital visits. They has also helped the Community Benefit Tree by donating items to our rental program; sponsoring events and having the proceeds from their " Jeans Day" go to CBT. they are truly our Shooting Star and they are continually shooting to help the Community Benefit Tree grow.

Rising Star Award Winner

2008 Winner-Deb Zelenak

Rising Star Award goes a volunteer that has put in much dedication and commitment into this organization. Deb has gone above an beyond being a volunteer by dedicating more than 5 hours a week assisting with office details such as filing, data entry, research and mailings. As a CBT assistant, Deb's dedication has been instrumental in helping to run the CBT office. Deb has also volunteered as the chairperson for the CBT booth at Chickenfest. We applaud and recognize the hard work she has put into helping the Community Benefit tree a success!

Angel Award Winner

2008 Winner- Denise Belongea

This award is giving to a board member who has gone above and beyond in their board member duties. Denise has been with the Community Benefit Tree since its founding with the Larry Wolfinger Charity Golf Outing. She has dedicated countless hous with the golf outing by participating on the committee for 16 years. SHe has been a member of the CBT Board of Directors since the beginning, helping to steer this organization in the right direction and help with its growth. Denise has served on numerous committees: Awarenss Night, Make a Difference Day, CBT Planners, Putt Putt & Drive for HOPE and the walk-a-thon committees. She has been a Benefit Supervisor and continues to volunteer at our sponsored benefits. She has been an angel and a blessing helping us from the beginning.
